North Texas Wraps Up Final Day At Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (3/10/09) Senior Clarke Kincaid wrapped up his fifth top-25 performance of the season with a final round 2-over par 74 to close in a tie for 21st place at the 24th Annual Louisiana Classic Tuesday afternoon.

Kincaid’s three-day score of 219 was 3-over par 216 and he also finished tied with Memphis’ Brad Benjamin with the most pars (39) over the two-day competition.

Overall North Texas finished 13th with a three-day score of 902 while the University of New Orleans took first with an 858, just barely edging out Louisiana-Lafayette (859).

Finishing behind Kincaid was senior Harris Graham, who stayed consistent with three straight rounds of 74 to finish 6-over par and tied for 31st. Junior Dustin Thompson posted his best three-day score of the season with a 226, finishing with a 74 on Tuesday.

Nathan Sheen (235) and Michael Lee (245) followed respectively.

The Mean Green will be back in action Mar. 13-14 at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
