#NFLMeanGreen: Week Five In Review

Oct. 10, 2017

DENTON - Week five of the National Football League season is in the books, and MeanGreenSports.com has you covered for 2017's fifth regular season installment of #NFLMeanGreen.

One of the three former North Texas players in the NFL, Oakland Raiders fullback Jamize Olawale, saw action again this week, while New Orleans Saints linebacker Craig Robertson's Saints had a bye. Los Angeles Rams running back Lance Dunbar remains out with a knee injury and is on the PUP/Reserve list, meaning the earliest he can return to the field is Week 7.

Olawale's Raiders (2-3) fell for the third consecutive week, after a 31-17 loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens (3-2). Olawale carried twice for 13 yards in the loss. Oakland remains in the Bay Area to host the Los Angeles Chargers (1-4) at 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS.

Robertson's Saints (2-2) come off a bye week after beating the Dolphins in London two weeks ago. New Orleans return home to host the Detroit Lions (3-2) at noon on Fox.

The Rams (3-2) dropped a tough one at home to the Seattle Seahawks, 16-10. Los Angeles hits the road to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2) Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. on Fox.

Be sure to follow the former Mean Green players in the NFL throughout the remainder of the regular season here on MeanGreenSports.com each Tuesday.
