COLLEGE STATION, TX - Junior Susannah Lynch finished ninth and senior Mike Lowe placed 21st to lead North Texas cross country at the NCAA South Central Regional Friday at the Dale Watts course.

The women's cross country team finished ninth overall thanks to a ninth place finish from Lynch. Lynch broke her own school record with a time of 20:03.6 to earn all-region honors. Junior Rea Iseli came in 40th with a time of 21:04.0 and senior Christina Moralez was 70th at 21:43.6. Junior Cassidy Adams finished 77th with a time of 21:51.2 and junior Baylee Nelson was the fifth finisher coming in 99th at 22:17.3.

"Susannah had an amazing season and today was no different," cross country coach Kevin Williams said. "It is a really tough region at the top, her ninth place finish was a great run."

The men's team placed 11th overall and senior Mike Lowe earned all-region after coming in 21st. Freshman Jack Beaumont just missed all-region after placing 27th with a time of 31:02.0. Senior Rick Nally came in 57th with a time of 31:48.8 and redshirt sophomore Alex Cleveland was 81st at 32:15.1. Sophomore Tim Jones finished 87th with a time of 32:18.7. Senior Zach Kirkland was the fifth scorer coming in 93rd with a time of 32:22.1.

"Mike earned his first all-region award today," Williams said. "He ran a smart, patient race and finished off his Mean Green cross country career with his best race ever for us."
