Graduate Programs Office Newly Admitted MBA Student Scholarships

The Graduate Programs Office scholarships are competitively awarded (beginning Fall 2019) by the Graduate Programs Office Scholarship Committee to newly admitted MBA students according to each scholarship’s criteria. Amounts awarded vary depending on available funds. Scholarships are available specifically for graduate level MBA students newly admitted to the College of Business. Eligibility

Each scholarship will have its own specific set of eligibility criteria. Review the individual scholarships listed below to see if you meet all of the requirements before applying. The following is a list of minimum requirements for Graduate Programs Office scholarships:

  1. Students must be admitted to the College of Business MBA at the time of application.
  2. Each scholarship (listed below) has its own set of eligibility criteria. Be sure that you meet all of the requirements for each scholarship you apply for.
  3. Students must be enrolled in the awarding semester in order to receive a scholarship.
  4. Students awarded scholarships must sign the Scholarship Acceptance Agreement and provide a thank you letter to the scholarship donor.
  5. Only eligible applicants will be considered.

Important Notes

  1. Your actual course enrollment will be verified during the semesters you receive a scholarship. If you do not meet the criteria, the scholarship may be revoked.
  2. Payment authorization will be made only after course enrollment and eligibility requirements are verified by the 12th class day of the semester. Scholarship winners are strongly encouraged to register early.

Application deadline for the John and Helen Green Scholarship is March 1 at 5:00 p.m.

The Josephine Hughes Sterling Endowed Scholarship for MBA Support (Awards begin Fall 2019)
  1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards set forth by the College of Business at the time of any award.
    • When reviewing applications, all original admission materials will be considered.
  2. Maintain at least half-time enrollments as established by the University, unless the student is nearing completion of his or her degree programs and does not need at least half-time enrollment.
  3. Enroll as at least a half-time graduate student in the MBA program at the University.
  4. Preference will be given to incoming students.
  5. This scholarship will not be awarded to previous recipients.

NOTE: The Josephine Hughes Sterling Endowed Scholarship for MBA Support will be available as a competitive award Fall 2019. The Application will be available in Fall 2018.

The John and Helen Green Scholarship for MBA Recruitment
  1. Meet the minimum entrance and continuing academic performance standards set forth by the College of Business at the time of any award.
