Scholarship

What we do

During the 2011-2012 academic year, the College of Business was able to award almost $200,000 in scholarships to 195 undergraduate and graduate students. While we are pleased to have offered this support, there are many deserving students for whom we could provide a scholarship. Indeed, we could easily double the amount we are expending.

National recognition and ranking of colleges of business is tied to the quality of its graduates as well as to the quality of its research. High-quality graduates bring high-quality corporate relations, which also bring recognition. Merit –based scholarships will attract students who will graduate on a timely basis and perform well (becomes leaders) in the workplace. Being competitive for doctoral students will result in students who graduate on a timely basis and who can be placed at other nationally recognized research institutions.
