Nathan Fielder can currently be seen as the writer, director, and star of his hit Comedy Central series “Nathan For You,” which will soon return for a fourth season.  Fielder has also wrote and performed on the series “Jon Benjamin Has a Van” and “Important Things with Demetri Martin.”

Fielder has guest starred in many shows as well, including “Drunk History,” “The Kroll Show,” “The League,” and “Children’s Hospital.” Additionally, he has lent his voice to hit animated series including “The Simpsons” and “Bob’s Burgers.”

Hailing from Canada, Nathan is also well known for his online shorts and his weekly segments on the acclaimed CBC comedy series “This Hour Has 22 Minutes." For his work on "22 Minutes" Fielder received a Canadian Comedy Award, a Writer's Guild Award, and was nominated for a Gemini.

In July 2014, Nathan received the “Breakout Comedy Star of the Year” award at the 2014 Just For Laughs Comedy Awards.

 

 

Poetry Night with Karla Morton & Edyka Chilomé

Described as "one of the more adventurous voices in American Poetry," Karla Morton is the 2010 Texas Poet Laureate, a Councilor of the Texas Institute of Letters, a Betsy Colquitt Award Winner, a two-time lndie National Book Award winner, a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, and a nominee for the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame. She is the author of nine books of poetry, has a touring photography and poetry exhibit and was recently featured with other prominent writers in 8 Voices: Contemporary Poetry of the American Southwest.

Edyka Chilomé, born Erica Granados - De La Rosa, is a literary artist, performer, educator, and cultural worker based in North Texas. A child of Salvadorian and Mexican immigrant activists, she was raised in social justice movements grounded in the tradition of spiritual activism. She holds a B.A. in social and political philosophy with an emphasis on social justice from Loyola University Chicago and an M.A. in Multicultural Women's Studies from Texas Woman's University where her research focused on the decolonial power of spiritual [Art]ivism.

Alfredo Rolando Ortiz is an internationally acclaimed Paraguayan harpist who has been performing solo recitals and concerts with orchestras all over the world for over 30 years. Ortiz utilizes Latin American rhythms, traditional, classical, and popular music, along with his original compositions to engage the soul and enchant audiences.

“Have you lost anything in your life—special or mundane—you’d like us to find?” This is what you will be asked at the Lost & Found Factory, an interactive installation by artist Michelle Illuminato. After sharing stories with an intake clerk, visitors can watch Factory artists in assembly-line fashion busily sewing, gluing, molding and making the Lost items. When finished, the found object gets photographed, packaged and placed in the “Found” display, ready for you to pick-up and take home.
