Certificates

The UNT Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services offers certificates in substance use disorder treatment, rehabilitation studies, applied gerontology, a graduate specialist in aging certificate, and a post-graduate advanced certificate in rehabilitation counseling. The undergraduate level certificates require four courses (12 hours) and complement degrees in anthropology, criminal justice, education, humanities, psychology, rehabilitation, sociology and social work, among others.The specialist in aging certificate is designed for health and human service professionals who wish to complement their existing knowledge and skills with an understanding of aging and services for the aged. The certificate in rehabilitation counseling requires 21 hours of course work and is designed for current and aspiring rehabilitation counselors who intend to pursue the certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) credential.
