Bradley Named Preseason All-Conference

Oct. 18, 2017

IRVING - North Texas redshirt junior guard Terriell Bradley was named to the Conference USA Women's Basketball Preseason Team Wednesday, as voted by the conference's coaches.

Bradley, the Mean Green's leading scorer a season ago, is the program's first player to be named to the preseason all-conference team since North Texas joined C-USA in 2013. Of all returning conference players, her 13.7 points per game last season ranks sixth.

"It's an honor to be selected as a preseason all-conference member and I'm grateful for the coaches who voted for me," Bradley said. "We have a very talented team this year and I'm excited for this upcoming season."

Bradley was crucial to the Mean Green taking another step forward in their second season under head coach Jalie Mitchell. The New Orleans native who graduated from Mansfield Timberview High School played her best on the biggest stage.

On the road at Arizona, Bradley didn't start due to an injured back but she still led the team to victory with 17 points off the bench. Against Old Dominion on New Year's Day, Bradley scored a career-high 22 points to lead North Texas to an important win early in conference play.

In the C-USA tournament, Bradley again led the team to a victory as she scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against UAB in the first-round game. It was her second double-double of the year.

She ended the year with 398 points, which was the most by a Mean Green player since the 2012-13 season. Her 121 free throws made last year are the fifth most in a single season in program history.

She scored over 20 points three times and had over 18 points in 10 games.

Along with being a great scorer, Bradley was second on the team in rebounds with 115. She was just one of 10 C-USA players to average over 13 points and 4 rebounds per game in conference play.

She had a career-high 13 rebounds at UTEP on Feb. 16.

Bradley, who played her freshman season at Kansas, is only 398 points shy of scoring her 1,000th career point.

North Texas opens the 2017-18 season in an exhibition game at home on Nov.4 at 3 p.m. versus Texas Woman's University. Its season opener is Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. versus Mid-America Christian University at the Super Pit.
