Chemistry Education is a specialized program that attracts and encourages highly motivated education professionals to combine their interests in traditional bench areas (analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical) with their interests in educational research.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of North Texas offers several degrees specific to chemistry education. For undergraduates the Department of Chemistry, in coordination with Teach North Texas, offers a BA in Chemistry with a minor created for teaching chemistry in high school. For graduate students*, UNT offers a MS in Chemistry Education and a PhD in Chemistry with the emphasis in Chemistry Education combining traditional core chemistry courses with your personal interest in graduate-level education curricula.

*The Chemistry Department is not currently accepting new Chemistry Education students in the M.S. or Ph.D. program.
