Inaugural Mental Health Conference to Focus on Personal Well-Being

Dallas - (April 6, 2018) – The University of North Texas at Dallas’ School of Human Services will host the “All is Well” Mental Health and Wellness Conference from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 in Founders Hall Room 138. The event is open to the public.

“President Mong has charged us to meet the needs of the community concerning mental health,” says Dr. Nedra Y. Washington, who is the UNT Dallas Program Coordinator of Child Development and Family Studies. “This conference will highlight the best and brightest professionals within our university as well as those in the DFW metropolitan area. There will be a variety of topics, all of which will be beneficial to our community of students and faculty.”

The conference will feature discussion panels and breakout sessions regarding implications of mental health on personal well-being, introducing mental health services and promoting the understanding of mental health’s effect on family relationships.
