The safety and security of all members of the university community is a paramount concern of the administration of the University of North Texas at Dallas, which strives to provide a safe environment for all members of our learning community. We work to achieve this by developing a partnership with students, administrators, faculty, staff and the surrounding community.
UNT Dallas is required by federal and state statute to provide a University Emergency Management Plan. This plan is reviewed periodically and can be found online for viewing by the University community. On behalf of the men and women of our department, we thank you for investing time to learn about our mission and what the University’s Police Department stands for. The men and women of the UNT Dallas Police Department are our greatest asset and they proudly serve our community with dignity, courage and honor. The UNT Dallas Police Department was founded in April 2012 with a primary goal of ensuring the safety and security of all faculty, staff, student and visitors. We support the University’s mission to empower students, transform lives and strengthen communities by fostering a relationship of unrelenting support, connectedness and quality customer service. With a collaborative team spirit in mind, we work together to make UNT Dallas a safer place.
