Updates to Social Security Benefits and Work Incentives 2018

Annually, the Federal government makes adjustments that impacts Social Security Benefits. This is an important feature to consider when planning out the use of work incentives and earnings with our consumers.

This webinar session provides updates to the basic SSA benefits information, already provided in previous webinar sessions. The audience will receive valuable information to adjust their planning and support calculations, such as the 2018 Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA) to the title 2 Trial Work Period (TWP) and Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) amounts, the SSI Federal Benefit Rate (FBR), applicable work incentives, as well as rate changes to Medicaid and Medicare. Sandy will discuss what, if any, impact the potential increase could have on other needs based benefits such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
