The "E" Practice Facility
Named for its benefactor, alumnus Ernie Kuehne, who spearheaded the fund raising to build a practice facility for the men's and women's basketball teams, softball, and golf, the "E" is located in the Mean Green Village on the west side of Bonnie Brae Street across the driveway from the Volleyball Center.
The facility's centerpiece is a full-length basketball court, complete with lockerrooms and scoreboard, allowing Mean Green basketball players to practice at any time.
This facility also allows athletes from the softball and golf programs to hone their skills in the comfort of a climate-controlled indoor practice range.
For golf, the facility houses two net enclosed driving ranges and a putting green with full length wall mounted mirrors to help coaches and athletes monitor swinging motion.
The softball portion of the facility has two indoor batting cages along with additional space for indoor workouts, coaches' offices and equipment storage.
