On Tap
After a key win over fellow SBC West division foe Arkansas State, North Texas fell handily to the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky. With the loss, the Mean Green
dropped to 8-6 and to third in the West division behind the Arkansas schools. FIU enters Denton strong off of a victory over regional rival Florida Atlantic and with an 8-6 conference mark like the Mean Green. The Panthers are led by Jerica Coley, the league leader in scoring at 25.4 per game, four points higher than the second highest in the conference.

The Series
North Texas and FIU meet each other on the court for the first time since January 17, a tight contest that saw the Mean Green topple the Golden Panthers, 70-68. The two units have split their last six meetings, and North Texas won the last SBC tournament meeting between the two in 2010.

Snipers
The Mean Green has 125 3-pointers on the season, which is tied for the fifth most in school history. North Texas is on the verge of shattering the school record, which stands at 134 set during the 2001-02 season. The Mean Green needs just 10 more 3-pointers to break the school record.
