Signee Taylor's High School No. 14 Nationally

Mean Green women's basketball signee Itiana Taylor, and her Pflugerville High School team have moved up to No. 14 in the nation, in the USA Today Super 25 Girls' Basketball Poll. Pflugerville is 33-0 on the season.

Taylor led Pflugerville with 22 points and 15 rebounds in their most recent game against Texas Home Educators' Sports Association (Fort Worth), a 57-55 victory. Taylor had 11 points and 14 boards in a win against Stony Point earlier this week.

Taylor is a signee for the 2012-13 season and plays power forward. Taylor ranks as the 52nd best power forward in the country by Dan Olsen Girls Basketball Report. As a junior in 2010-11, she helped Pflugerville to a 30-7 record and the regional final, averaging 9.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.6 assists per game. She was named to the District 16-5A First Team and Texas Basketball Magazine Honorable Mention, along with being named Miss Offense and Miss Defense by Pflugerville. As a sophomore in 2009-10, she helped Pflugerville to a district championship, averaging 11.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.3 steals, and 1.2 assists per game. She was named as the All-Central Texas Newcomer of the Year and the District 22-5A Newcomer of the Year in 2009-10.
