UNT is expanding our excellence and innovation to serve the people, communities and businesses of Frisco, Texas, through a 100-acre branch campus designed to serve at least 5,000 students. We’ve served Collin County students since 2010 and today formalized an agreement with the City of Frisco TX - City Hall to provide convenient, innovative access to higher education for decades to come. The addition of a branch campus in Frisco is one of the many ways that UNT will continue to be the university for North Texas. Having relocated from California in June, I came back to college at the age of 49 after VA reinstated my benefits. I had to quit college in 2005 because my three-year-old was diagnosed with brain canc...er. Returning to college at 49 can be intimidating especially when you feel like you are the oldest student in the classroom. For the most part I felt welcomed. Great students. Great teachers. Mr. Davenport from VA rocks!!! I can't tell you how much he did for me trying to get back into college. I also appreciated my advisor Miss Whitbty Communication studies. But life happens. Breast cancer hit me for the first time, and a few other unfortunate issues at college forced me to throw in the towel. But nothing ventured nothing gained. The highlight I would say was auditioning in UNT's so you think you can dance. I only regret not participating in the performance that Tuesday night in order to salvage my classes that I was falling behind on. Working full time from 5 PM to 1 AM and attending college six days a week burnt me out. But UNT is a good school!

So always follow your dreams!

I will be up here watching the kids on Saturdays playing in the physical education building (PEB). If you need extra help cleaning the restrooms I can help. The restrooms were horrible! I can help dis...infect, stock tissues, empty trash cans, etc. I can bring my own Lysol. There is no way the facilities should not be kept clean. If this is not a major area of concern then it should be because of germs. Side note, the gym floor on the lower level was decent. This is truly in the spirit of constructive criticism. See More

**Update: UNT has taken action to terminate the employee in question. While that's the right start, we ask them to take a visible, proactive anti-racism stance; we look forward to seeing how that is ...embraced.**

What you doing to address the recent use of the N-word racial epithet by a food vendor in the Student Union?

Now you, a State University, calling an innocent woman a woman who is a student at your University a n$##@r when she tries to get some chicken??!!?? How dare you?? You should be absolutely ashamed!! ... Whoever did this should be held responsible and expelled for their actions and the young woman needs a public apology and should get more than that. I hope she sues you! See More

I was here for a short summer internship during May-July 2014 and till date, I reminisce the good old days! Working with the Materials Science Department there at Discovery Park, stayed on campus and ...really had a good time in Denton. The research opportunities UNT offered helped shape my academic career since then. Will be happy to visit one day and go down the memory lane! See More

So disheartened to hear that a student had to succumb to such disrespect. I am ashamed to call myself an alumni of your institution. UNT claims to promote diversity within the university, yet this hap...pened. You should publicly acknowledge the situation or we’ll do it for you. A call to action to have the ex employee of that establishment expelled. See More

As an African American and alumni, I am appalled and disgusted at the use of the word “Nigger” used by one of your vendors! I I understand that this person was terminated but this must be addressed fr...om the top!!! This is completely unacceptable! See More

My Alma Mater is the best! Graduated from School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management - highly recommend if you're looking for a school that is open minded and appreciates diversity of thought.... I had lots of kind and intelligent professors who taught me things that have translated well into the real world. GO UNT! See More

Until they address the racism on campus starting with the food court staff and business ties with Krispy they are no better than the staff writing the n-word on AA student’s receipts.

The manager of the business was told about what happened and didn't do anything, that business should be shut down. I'm also curious to know if the employee was a student, if so he or she should be expelled.

I love my University. I have two Bachelor's degrees from this school and am working on a Master's degree now. I have always felt at home here, like I belong here.

However, I am not happy that the U...niversity seems to be doing everything it can, however, to eliminate the Classics and Languages from the School STEM classes are all well and good and definitely important, but without the Humanities, without a fully functioning Library with real actual books, without the ability to learn new languages...we lose the greater part of ourselves. We need more Latin Language classes, not less. We need Greek Language classes. We need LANGUAGES! We need Ancient History! We need CLASSICS! See More

What’s going on at this school is just baffling no one is addressing the racial profiling that occurs here. Your going to teach, well then teach the youth correctly, that person in charge of your food... services is incorrectly hiring staff members. See More

When I came here it was for political science, but their webpage asked for me to type in my essay and constantly refreshed over it. I typed in serval essays the teacher never saw due to poor web desig...n. I changed my major to psychology, the teachers were kind and on campus life was pleasurable, I eventually left for personal reasons and never completed a degree, but I made good friends here, nonetheless. Firing the employee responsible is not enough. Them feeling bold enough to print a racial slur on a receipt is a sign of systematic racism in play. Do better

Both me and my girlfriend love UNT. There are always plenty of events and school spirit is every where. I am posting this asking for UNT's help for a fellow student. Joy has been through a lot in life... with the passing of her parents. Her mother lost her battle with cancer and her father suffered a heart attack. She is in her final semester and sadly did not qualify for financial aid or private loans. Please share this post and lets see her walk the stage and continue onto her next step in life. #gomeangreen #unt #joysgraduation
Thank you and have a blessed day.
