  • Saturday-Sunday: Noon-10 p.m.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The CVAD Student Computer Lab is open to all currently enrolled UNT students, as well as active faculty and staff. Anyone who wishes to use the lab must first present a valid UNT ID to be admitted access. Our computer lab is a part of the UNT Student Computer Lab system, and as such, follows the established SCL Procedures and Guidelines.

If you need assistance, please see the lab attendant at the desk.

Please note: the Collaboration Lounge (ART 231) has been closed and is now being used as a swing space by our IT department until the new building is ready to move into. For alternative options, please speak with your departmental office. We apologize for any inconvenience.

CLASSROOM ON WHEELS

Available for checkout by CVAD students and faculty:

  • 20 Macbook Pros (Mac OSX - no Windows) with the same Mac software titles as on the lab computers
  • 20 iPads
  • Students may check out one of each at a time, due back each day one hour before the lab closes (see lab hours above)
  • Faculty may reserve a cart of twenty of each to use in their classrooms.
    • Reservations: send an email to CVAD.ClassroomOnWheels@unt.edu specifying the date, time and class they are for
    • Pick the cart up in ART 231 before class

PRINTING GUIDELINES

Current CVAD students (students enrolled in CVAD classes) have access to all color, black & white, and large format printing. All other current UNT students have access to black & white printing. All current students have access to 3D printing at no cost.

Basic paper is provided for all laser and large format printers. Students are invited to provide higher quality paper for the large format printers. A variety of media is provided for the 3D printers, and students are invited to experiment with additional materials that are approved for use in our filament printers.

All printing is intended for academic use only. The CVAD SCL does not support or provide personal printing in the facility.
