How To Use The System

To view a film:

  • Select a title to go to the film's page
  • Move the mouse over the square video player to display the tool bar
  • From the tool bar, select play, stop, fast-forward, rewind, adjust volume or full screen
  • Press ESC to leave full screen mode

Troubleshooting Tips

Video on Demand uses Adobe Flash, which is not currently supported by most mobile devices. If you are not using a mobile device and are still encountering difficulties playing videos, please review the following trouble shooting tips.

Browser:

  • Watch the video using Internet Explorer.
  • If you are using Chrome, you may need to take additional steps to enable Adobe Flash to run on your computer:
    • At the top right of your browser window, click More > Settings
    • At the bottom, click Show advanced settings
    • Under "Privacy," click Content Settings
    • Find the "Flash" section
    • Select "Ask first before allowing sites to run Flash"
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed.
  • Enable cookies.
 

Authentication:

  • EUID is login method. Go to UNT's Account Management System to reset your password or find your EUID.
  • Only currently enrolled students, faculty and staff can enter the system.
  • If you were assigned a film for class, but cannot locate it in the Video on Demand collection contact the Media Library.
 

Video or Audio Quality:

  • The quality of the video depends on the users internet connection speed. For best quality, use a high speed broadband internet connection.
  • Dial up and wifi internet connections will likely provide poor quality video.
 

Mobile Device Users:

  • The Video on Demand system uses Adobe Flash. At this time, the iPhone and iPad movie devices do not support the Flash platform.
