Alexis Coats, New York, N.Y. :: competed in the Miss New York USA pageant in 2016. The fashion merchandising major works as a freelance assistant stylist for Rainbow Shops E-commerce Studio and as a freelance showroom and visual assistant for Nautica. She also models outside of work, and her dream is to someday own her own retail store. This was her first time competing in a pageant. Her favorite memory of UNT is meeting her boyfrien her freshman year. “We’re still together here in New York,” she says. “He works as a recording engineer and songwriter!”
