Biography: 

Jay K. Baker is an accounting adjunct and he has over a decade of collegiate classroom experience in teach undergraduate accounting courses. Mr. Bakers previously worked in the specialty finance, insurance and mortgage banking industry for 30 years. His research interests are the advancement of due diligence and transparency in the mortgage industry. Mr. Baker still works on several consulting engagements each year for private capital investment funds in the mortgage space. He is the author or co-author of several textbooks on finance and is a speaker at national conferences and seminars. In 2009 and 2011 Keith was a speaker in the Czech Republic and Austria on residential real estate finance and community college technical education in the United States and is frequently quoted in real estate related articles in the press, most recently during 2016 in U.S. News & World Report and in the online media at Investopedia.com. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas Tech University, a Master of Science in Financial Services from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a Masters of Business Administration from Texas Woman's University and a Graduate Professional Certificate in Community Bank Management from the Bank Administration Institute's School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Mr. Baker is a Certified Financial PlannerĀ®, a Certified Public Accountant in Texas, a Certified Global Management Accountant and holds a Certificate in Financial Asset Management. He started his career as a residential construction lender.
