About
Art has been a vital part of UNT since it was first taught in 1894, just four years after the institution was founded. Today, over 2200 students major in CVAD programs.
Awards
For academic year 2015-16, CVAD awarded 64 College of Visual Art and Design Scholarships to our continuing CVAD graduate and undergraduate students, totaling over $71,000. CVAD also plans to award $12,000 during the summer to our new CVAD Transfer and Freshman applicants.

STORY
CVAD is one of the largest colleges of art and design in the United States. With departments of Art Education and Art HIstory, Design, and Studio Art, CVAD also houses research institutes, collections of rt and fashion, four galleries, six computer labs, and occupies eight buildings on the UNT campus and one in Dallas.
