Orchestra Summer Day Camp

The Orchestra Summer Day Camp (directed by Dr. Elizabeth Chappell) is offered each summer during the month of June. Over 125 students rehearse in elementary, middle school, and high school orchestras under the direction of several guest conductors. Students also receive instruction in both music theory and music history classes. String orchestra students with at least one year of experience playing violin, viola, cello or double bass are invited to attend. Five different orchestra groups of different levels conducted by stellar directors from the DFW area will develop a concert program to be presented on Friday, June 16th.  Students will have the opportunity to develop and maintain their technique, play fun music, and meet new friends.
