We know this time can be a bit boring and/or nerve-racking for some. Even though we are in isolation, there is a lot you can do in your spare time. Here is a list of things that can occupy your mind during the shelter-in-place😊

1. Workout- You don’t need a gym to get your body moving, you can go for a run in the park (while practicing social distancing) and/or find workout videos on YouTube.
2. Read or write a book- This is a great time to dig into your imagination and let y...our thoughts run free!
3. Organize your home- It’s always good to have a clean work/living area.
4. Start a hobby- Do something you’ve also wanted to do. (ex. Paint, draw, knitting)

We will send regular ideas on ways to keep your mind and body engaged! Tell us in the comments what you’re doing this week to keep from going stir-crazy!

Ph.D. students from Albert's and Qing Yang's labs demonstrated projects they were working on in autonomous systems, machine learning, and biomedical engineering, all three of which are concentrations offered in the new program.

UNT Computer Science and Engineering junior Farhan Almufleh has had a passion for engineering since he was little. As a kid, he would play games like Grand Thef...t Auto San Andreas and Crash Bandicoot, so his dream project comes as no surprise. "My dream project is to build a new console that has features I wished were on the consoles I had when I was little. I want to improve it in all aspects, such as game availability, friend communication, and make it simple to use. I loved video games my whole life."
