23rd Annual Graduate Student Symposium in Art History Call for Papers The Art History faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Alabama invite art history students in regional Master’s programs to submit proposals to our Art History Graduate Student Symposium to be held at UAB on Friday, February 23, 2018.

PurposeThe purposes of the competition and exhibition are: to encourage the development of students’ work in the medium of Artists' Books, to foster the creation of Artists' Books, to reward excellence and creativity in the Artists' Books, and to build the collection of Artists' Books in the UNT Libraries’ Special Collections.

Core Drawing welcomes visiting artist Jay Bailey Jay Bailey was born in Reno, Nevada in 1976. He has a BA in Fine Art from the University of Nevada in Reno, undertook post-baccalaureate studies at the San Francisco Art Institute and has his MFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

The EPIC Artist Residency is part of a dynamic new community center in the city of Grand Prairie, TX. The residency includes a 600sf art studio, private fully-furnished 700sf studio apartment on site, a $1500 a month stipend, as well as a membership to the EPIC.
