Student Competitions

Student Competitions

The student team competitions accomplish several objectives for the logistics program: building team and group leadership skills, applying coursework and internship experience to case problems; assessing UNT student performance against other programs, and promoting the UNT logistics program.

In the spring of 2012 a four-student team participated in a national case competition hosted by the Intermodal Association of North America and the University of North Florida. The student team competed against teams from the University of Tennessee, University of Maryland, University of Arkansas, Auburn University, Georgia Southern University, Michigan State University and the University of North Florida. Student participation was supported by a grant received by the Intermodal Association of North America (UNT is a member) and airline tickets were provided by Southwest Airlines (board of directors member).
