Auditions for Spring Semester are gearing up today, starting with percussion! Today's auditions will take place in the IRR.
Reminder for this week and next: PLEASE arrive early (at least 30 minutes) to your audition, as we usually run ahead.

To those of you planning to audition for a Spring 2018 Wind Studies ensemble, please refer to the updated excerpts posted on the Wind Studies website - they now include tempo markings
Percussion is also posted, and the tuba/euphonium glitch was fixed.

The UNT Wind Symphony will perform LIVE tonight at 7:30pm central!
Featuring two works for voice and wind band, the program includes James Stephenson's "Symphony No. 2: Voices," and Robert Beaser's "The End of Knowing."
It's going to be an unbelievable performance, so be sure to watch via livestream if you can't be here in sunny Denton!

Dear NARAS group members - my wind ensemble arrangement of UNCLE BEBOP (a piece that I originally wrote for viola & bassoon) is on the ballot in the 60th Grammy... Awards in the category Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.

TOMORROW (Sept. 18th) is the deadline to apply for the open position in the Wind Studies Library! Follow the prompts, and then search jobs for "Wind Studies Librarian" to see the posting and apply. If you have any additional questions, please contact Jackie!
UNT Wind Studies has an opening for another librarian! If you'd be interested in working behind the scenes, helping maintain one of the biggest music libraries around, all while getting paid - consider applying! The job is posted via Eagle Careers on MyUNT, and if you have any questions just ask Jackie! Deadline to apply is Sept. 18th.
OK...to recap:
Wind Symphony folders = Ready. Have been since 3pm on 8/26/2017.
Symphonic Band folders = Not Ready. DF has added a piece and part assignments are not finalized. We will post HERE when they are.
...Wind Ensemble = likely ready tomorrow. We will post HERE when they are.
Library will be open until at least 9pm tonight (Saturday), and from 9am-5pm tomorrow (Sunday). Regular business hours starting on Monday.
Everybody else - you'll get folders on Monday at rehearsal.
Absolutely NO ONE is allowed to bother Jackie or Katie unless it's to tell them how beautiful they are and/or to let them know that food is being delivered to them at the library.
