CJ will be showing the AR piece during tomorrow's reception starting at 7pm. We have several other new media students participants in the show, so go visit the gallery and see their artwork!!

Our UNT New Media students work with some of the latest virtual and augmented reality technologies!! Here is a prototype created by Cj Porras testing out Apple's new ARkit, a feature in iOS 11, in the UNT Art Galleries' Lightwell gallery. The model was created using VR software, Google Tiltbrush and Google Blocks. The model was then imported into Unity. We can't wait to see what our students make next!! #untnewmedia #Apple #ARkit

Here is a prototype augmented reality landscape I made using VR painting & modeling software, Unity game engine, and Apple's ARkit that will be featured in the iOS 11 update (Sept. 19th). I was testing out the scale of my model at UNT Art Galleries' Lightwell space. Hope to create more work like this in the future!
