Needs Statement

How does the caregiver account for why the person with disease changes from day to day and minute to minute?  This presentation will provide information on the physiological and sensory changes that occur and how they manifest in function and behavior.

Target Audience

This program was developed for physicians, nurses, social workers and licensed professional counselors.

Objectives

• Identify why patients with Alzheimer's disease experience good and bad days;
• Discuss the different stages of disease and how they affect the patient;
• Recognize the physical, environmental, cognitive and emotional causes of Alzheimer's disease.
