I. SUMMARY

In most cases, periodicals are non-circulating materials. However, some periodicals in print form may be checked out for short periods of time according to the following rules.

IV. BOUND PERIODICALS AT THE LIBRARY ANNEX (REMOTE STORAGE)

With the exceptions of rare and other non-circulating items, volumes stored at the annex are treated as regular circulating items like books. Use of large runs of volumes held in the annex may be limited to the Annex Reading Room.

V. EXCEPTIONS

The following periodical-related items are non-circulating:

  • Missing pages that are available from the reserve desks.
  • Periodicals that are available in microfilm, microfiche, or in an electronic format.
  • Periodicals in Archives and Rare Books.

VI. OTHER INFORMATION

  • Faculty: The dean of the appropriate college is to be immediately notified of any faculty member who violates this policy.
