Overview Statement

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for UNT's academic mission, including teaching and service. The provost's office provides leadership in the development and supervision of the university's academic programs and curriculum in conjunction with the deans and faculty representatives. Additionally, the provost's office collaborates with the Office of Research and Economic Development in promoting faculty and student scholarship.

Message from the Provost

Dear Faculty and Staff,

This fall, we welcomed more than 4,900 first-year students, 4,000 transfer students and many new graduate students onto our campus. Each of these new students came to UNT entrusting us to be a partner in helping them fulfill their dreams. It is now our job to help teach, coach and mentor these students so they can achieve their dreams.
