I'm a full-time staff member at UNT and I just want to give a shout-out to the UNT Police Department for the little things they do to keep this campus safe and ...awesome. I was at work yesterday and I got a call on my cell from the department. I didn't catch her name (she was very polite and pleasant), but she mentioned that an officer was patrolling the area and noticed my car's back tire was extremely low. The officer then offered to fill it up for me, which is amazing because it saved me having to change it in the parking lot and I could get home safely and put the spare on in my garage. Thanks UNTPD! I had become slightly intoxicated and had decided not to drive tonight and walked across campus even though I have a very dangerous back and leg problem. An off...icer picked me up and asked for my ID like a responsible officer would and drove me to my apartment. He was understanding even when i told him why I went out drinking and why my back was in so much pain. He was a very gentle soul and great man. I'm thankful for him helping me tonight and saving an immense amount of pain on myself. See More

A huge thank you to UNT Police for NOT helping me get my car started while it is 98 degrees (real feel: 105 degrees) outside. It truly was a learning experienc...e and assisted me in obtaining knowledge and life skill. My brakes were locked and I, my 120-pound self, put my car in neutral and pushed it up an incline enough to unlock them to start my car. All sarcasm and positivity aside, I am very disappointed in this institution of service to the community. I am a commuter student with minimum ties to the Denton area so when I needed help in what I thought was a scary situation, I called the local police department for help and was refused. See More

Note to the obnoxious rude officer working the exit ramp today for the UNT graduation. Police are suppose to "HELP" people not yell at them because they are sen...ding them in a direction that my map doesn't... so I ask for directions to get where I need to be.
Not every person getting off at that exit is going to a graduation!!!! Get your ego in check and do what you're supposed to do and what the taxes are paying you to do which of help people.

Instead of yelling and saying to park at graduation and walk all that way you could have simply said go up two more streets and hang a right it will take you straight to the pool!

Law enforcement doesn't only enforce the law, you're supposed to follow it. It gets very old seeing your LEOs just parking where ever they want on campus. It's ...become a daily occurrence to see your vehicles parked in handicapped spots or spots that are otherwise marked NO PARKING.

I am messaging photos of today's dumbass parking job and will start doing this until the law applies to your officers as well.
