The University of North Texas’ student-run cable television station, North Texas Television, or ntTV, has received two College & University Student Production Awards presented by the Lone Star Chapter Emmy® Awards.

University of North Texas faculty and alumni are part of projects that have received nominations in 10 categories for the 60th annual Recording Academy Grammy Awards. Nominations, which include UNT alumna Maren Morris, who was nominated this year in the Best Country Solo Performance category for “I Could Use a Love Song,” were announced on Nov. 28.

The Air Force Office of Scientific Research has awarded University Distinguished

The Air Force Office of Scientific Research has awarded University Distinguished Research Professor Raj Banerjee from the University of North Texas College of Engineering and his research group a $900,000 grant. The funds will be used to develop and investigate multi-phase high entropy alloys – also referred to as complex-concentrated alloys – that are expected to revolutionize aircraft construction.

The Women in Engineering ProActive Network has named Nandika D’Souza, the University of North Texas College of Engineering’s associate dean for undergraduate studies, to its board of directors. The organization’s mission is “to propel higher education to increase the number and advance the prominence of diverse communities of women in engineering.” D’Souza was appointed based on her dedication, leadership and advocacy.
