The Sport and Event Management Research Lab at the University of North Texas brings together leading UNT and global scholars to examine the impact of sport and events on society and the economy. Co-directed by Professor John Nauright and Dr Young-Hoon Kim, the Lab has and is contributing to global industry and critical research on topics such as: the global expansion, impact and retention issues in ice hockey and soccer; the impact of events and facilities internationally and in the DFW Metroplex; coaching and administration in sport; youth sport development and sport for development and peace; gender, race and class issues in sport; sport marketing; and sport operations.
