  • Bu çalışmayla cam konusunda iştahınızın açılacağına ve atölyemize bir daha gelmek isteyeceğinize bahse girebiliriz!   • Füzyon atölye calışmasında renkli cam parçalarını çizerek ve keserek düz şeffaf cam plaka üzerine yerleştiriyor ve desen oluşturuyorsunuz. İsterseniz gelmeden önce oluşturacağınız deseni belirleyebilir veya derste içinizden geldiği gibi calışabilirsiniz.

  • Class Description: In this class students will create a highly detailed

    stained glass window based on an Aesop or Turkish fable.

    Techniques taught and practiced in class include hand painting, air

    brushing (using an atomizer), ‘pen-and-ink drawing’, as well as silkscreening

    images with enamel paints onto stained glass. We will be

    making silk-screens in class from the students art or from existing art.

    Class Description:

  • In this workshop we will be exploring how to make flower seed murinis, applying the murini's on beads, making relief flowers on formed mandrells, stringer work, and making decors on disc beads... 25-26 July Workshop fee: 1 day 350 tl. 2 days 600 tlMaterıals and lunch are included to the price.

  • 1. INTRODUCTION /with use of documentary films, showing various working and creating possibilities in glass sculpting & decorating process/. 2. Drawing and preparing designs for future sculptures. 3. Molds making, cleaning and drying. Preparing of glass material for molds. 4. Kiln work, heating and melting glass and cooling process. 5. After successful glasswork in kiln, cleaning glass from molds. 6. Grinding and sandblasting of the glass sculptures. 7. Polishing of the glass sculptures. 8. Exhibition of the finished glass sculptures

  • This will be a unique class and rare opportunity to work together with Czech and
    American master glassmakers from complementary backgrounds. Designers and makers from
    various fields will be working daily together with the instructors (gaffers) both individually and
    collectively to develop personal ideas. From conceptualizing to designing, and prototyping to finishing,
    you will be creating works with the potential for further production as well as a session end exhibition.

  • Learn how to create botanical works on the torch using both borosilicate and soft glass. This class will explore the differences between the two types of glass, including the benefits and limitations of using each on the torch. Students will learn basic techniques for constructing leaves, flowers, vines, and other flora. Assembly techniques including bridging and networking will be covered. Through collaboration with Grant Garmezy's sculpture class in the hotshop, students will learn how lampworked components can be brought into the hotshop and assembled onto furnace-blown pieces.

  • During this workshop the students will explore narrative in glass and how they can develop their own vocabulary to embody ideas in glass and be able to build a narrative.

    In her work, Silvia Levenson is not focused in the beauty of the material but in how she can convey her ideas and concepts and she will share her ideas and process with the students.

    During the workshop she will teach kiln forming, mold making , lost wax process and experimental printing in glass ( low decal printing and gum bichromate process )

  • This course will introduce various approaches to kiln casting glass. We will briefly cover making replica molds using silicone and plaster. We will then create wax positives from the molds and collage them to create compositions. The wax composition will then be invested into plaster/silica. Students will have the opportunity to taste a variety of casting techniques including traditional kiln casting and casting in the hot shop. The cast pieces will then be divested and cold worked.
