Each year, Senator McCain has the privilege of nominating a select group of Arizona high school graduates for appointment to the United States Military Service Academies: the United States Air Force Academy, United States Merchant Marine Academy, United States Military Academy and United States Naval Academy. Please see below for information on how to apply.
Age: Applicant must be at least 17 years old, but not yet 23 years of age on July 1st of the year of admission (25th birthday for the Merchant Marine Academy).
Citizenship: Applicant must be a United States citizen, and a legal and permanent resident of Arizona.
Marital Status: Applicant must be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children or other dependents.
Submit a completed application packet no later than THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2017 at 5:00PM MST to my Phoenix Office. You may submit the application by mail, fax, email or by dropping it off in person at the Phoenix Office. Please keep in mind that an original copy of your official transcript is required, and it must be mailed or dropped off in person.

Copies of ACT or SAT scores will not be accepted. Scores attached to high school transcripts will not be accepted.
6) Three Letters of Recommendation
Only three letters of recommendation will be accepted. Suggested recommendations: school principal, teachers, guidance counselor, military officers, employers, or coaches. Recommendations from friends or relatives are not acceptable.

Constituents also have the opportunity to attend the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. Unlike the academies mentioned above, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination.
