Welcome to the VLC bug tracker.
This issue tracker is intended to help VLC developers address bugs and missing features in VLC media player.
Bug report or feature request
Please first review
bug reporting instructions.
You must follow those guidelines. Otherwise your report will be closed and ignored, possibly without explanation.
Reports must be filed in English.
You need to register for a user account before you can file a new bug (or comment on an existing one).
Search reports
HINT: keep the "~" before your search string. This will look for inexact matches and help extend the search.Note well
This tool is meant to help VLC developers and other active community members improve the VLC media player. It is not a support issue tracker.
VLC development is done on a best-effort basis by a community of volunteers.
If you need user support, please refer to the appropriate VideoLAN fora and/or the on-line documentation.
Support requests filed as ticket on this site will be systematically closed (as "invalid"). So if in doubt, please use the forum.
When reporting an actual bug, please be sure to provide enough informations to actually help the VLC developers understand and address the problem. Any bug report with too little informations will be closed (usually as "incomplete"): such a bug report does not help the community to improve the VLC media player, and therefore does not belong on this tracker.
Should you need timely and/or professional support, consider fixing the problem yourself or hiring consulting services. There can be no warranties regarding the timeframe or the propriety of the resolution of any particular bug reported or feature requested here.
