Jerry Nadeau’s racing career ended with one of the hardest impacts ever recorded in NASCAR history 14 years ago at Richmond Raceway. Meyer said earlier in the week that Texas got a “dose of reality” with a 51-41 loss to Maryland in Week 1. Meyer also pointed out Herman’s comment about sprinkling fairy dust on the Texas team he inherited and expecting the Longhorns to re-emerge as a national power after a 5-7 season in 2016.
