Narendra Dahotre named interim associate vice president for research and innovation at UNT
Narendra Dahotre, University Distinguished Research Professor in materials science and engineering at UNT, has been named interim associate vice president of research and innovation at the University of North Texas.
UNT on the Square exhibition features photographs of family living in unique East Texas community
What: The Upshaws of County Line, an exhibition of photographs taken by Richard Orton of a family that lived in an East Texas community that was formed in the 1870s as a safe place for newly freed slaves during Reconstruction and Jim Crow Texas.
When: July 7 (Friday) – Aug. 12 (Saturday). A reception, which will include an artist’s talk, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 (Saturday).
Professor’s forgotten family-penned children’s book finally published
DENTON, Texas (UNT) — Kent Chapman, an accomplished biology professor and researcher at the University of North Texas, is now also a children’s book author. Chapman actually wrote the book around 20 years ago with his two daughters when they were only 5 and 3.
