Booking Services​

What is a Booking?

A booking is a request to use Media Library materials for a specific class. Booking of Media Library materials is provided to ensure availability of items.

Who May Book Media Library Materials?

  • UNT faculty.
  • UNT teaching fellows and full time staff members may request a booking if using an item for classroom instruction. These requests must be arranged with the Media Library Booking Supervisor by email, phone, or in person.

How Do I Request a Booking?

Bookings may be requested:

Book Online

Most media items can be booked from within the catalog.

  1. Search: the Library catalog.
  2. Select: the title from the list of search results and view the full item record.
  3. Click: the "Faculty: book this item for a class" link.
  4. Login: with your EUID and password (Forgot your password?).
  5. Complete the form: Both your email address and phone extension are required fields.
  6. You will receive an email confirming your booking from the Booking Supervisor within 48 hours.

Note: Teaching Fellows are not eligible to use this form. Please contact the Media Library directly for booking requests.

Courier Services

Courier Services - Central Campus (Denton)

Faculty may request courier service of their booked media materials to and from central departmental offices.

  • A notice of at least 48-hours is required.
  • The courier will make one delivery per day, Monday through Friday, typically before noon, with no or limited deliveries on university designated holidays. 

Courier Services - Discovery Park & Mean Green Village

Faculty may request courier service of media materials to and from a central location within the building. 

  • A notice of at least 48-hours is required. 
  • Requests will be delivered to Discovery Park Library Collection Room B112.
  • Contact the Media Library for courier accommodations to the Mean Green Village. 

Courier Services - UNT Dallas Campus

Courier service to and from the UNT Dallas campus is available.

  • Delivery service is on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • Requests must be made by noon on the day prior to delivery.
