Texas Fashion Collection

The Texas Fashion Collection (TFC) is a unique repository documenting high fashion and style.  Operating under the auspices of the College of Visual Arts and Design, the TFC is one of the most acclaimed educational resources at the University of North Texas in Denton.  These artifacts of dress were collected by a variety of notable groups and individuals whose taste and connoisseurship continue to inspire students, researchers, and visitors.

Recent exhibitions organized by the Texas Fashion Collection include Art Meets Fashion: 1965-2015 at NorthPark Center in 2015, American Brides: Inspiration and Ingenuity at the Patterson-Appleton Center for the Visual Arts in 2014 and The Joy Losee Collection: Art and Dress Along the Silk Road at the UNT Art Gallery in 2012. Previous exhibitions were produced in conjunction with the Crow Collection of Asian Art (Yeohlee: Design for Now, 2009), and the Meadows Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Kimbell Art Museum.
