So proud of my school. One of the most important things I have learned.....
Don't pick a gig first and then go to school so you can maybe one day learn enough ...to get that gig. Go to NT, take a stab at perfecting your instrument and then go after the gig of your choice!!! It's the journey that will reveal your true destiny!!! Go Mean Green!! See More

One of our cell phones continues to get texts and automated phone calls from UNT even though NO ONE in our family has ever attended the school or worked there. ...We have contacted the school on 3 different occasions. Each time we were assured our number would be removed from the system. Yet we just received a text informing us of a power outage at the campus. What does it take to stop these messages!! See More

Anyone who would treat a veteran who served 3 tours of duty who attends this college and would deny him the use of a service dog for no reason given by the admi...nistration is completely disrespectful and disgraceful in my opinion. He has spent a good portion of his life fighting for our freedom and this is the way the school repays his service to this country? You and your administration should be ashamed for the disgusting treatment of this man who is a hero and should be treated as such. See More

The 2nd Most Important 4 years of my only child's life so far. ('Tis difficult to beat that 0-4 span, child development experts tell me).

Thank You for all of the opportunities you gave him to be all that turned out to be !!

Charge $5,000+ a semester for tuition and then a parking permit is $250 and if you don't have it it's $60 for a parking ticket... with no parking spots even available. Oh and if you try and withdraw from classes- you still have to pay for those classes in full. What????

Not worth it. You'll be paying high-end tuition and fees for a low-end education. That school will rip you off with no reason or explanation. The offices are le...ss organized than any average middle school. They lose important documents and files like crazy and they abruptly bring back fees that were already paid off. Most of the professors (not all) don't know how to teach the material; they're unclear on directions, they don't answer questions well, and they grade unfairly and unreasonably.

Additionally, the police that patrol the area will find any reason to put you in handcuffs. Even if you're not breaking any laws in the slightest. They will lie on their police reports and make your academic year more Hell than it already is.

When someone who served our country is told they can't bring their service dog they need to get through the day, that alone is awful. Then, on top of that, not ...willing to work with the veteran about different options and failure to hear arguments from the veteran just shows how crazy the people in charge here are. Sorry excuse of a school. See More

Peter Gunter, a North Texas State University professor, wrote in 1970, “Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timeta...ble: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” See More

I graduated from the fashion program in 2016 and could not be happier with my education. It's a challenging program that builds artistic, craftsmanship, and bus...iness skills to prepare students for the industry. During my junior year I was connected with a wonderful internship opportunity with a UNT grad that helped me transition from college to the bridal label I know own and operate. UNT deserves my 5 stars! See More

I attended UNT from August 2006-August 2011 and spent some of the best years of my life there. I do agree that the parking has always been atrocious, but when y...ou've made memories like mine it just doesn't seem to matter! If I had to do my undergrad all over again I would choose UNT every time. See More

This is a "no smoking" campus where you "can't smoke" within a certain distance of the campus or any of its buildings. Unless you want to. Then you're perfectly... free to pollute the air for everyone else while campus security walks or drives right past you smoking next to the "No Smoking Campus" signs. See More

Your college needs to consider firing Dorothy Bland. She purposely lied and did her best to get two officers in trouble just for doing their jobs and accused them of being racists. What an embarrassment

There's something that is pretty shady about this university. It is listed on the website that it is transfer friendly, but yet doesn't provide any transfer sch...olarships to transfer students coming in the Spring semester. Also, they do not offer any learning communities for transfer students. Before I was pretty naive about being interested about attending here until I did an extensive research on the school and found a lot of negatives and bare minimum positives. Oh and when I applied they ranked me a senior which would be good thing for me, since I am a junior. See More

1. Parking is horrible. We pay more than 200$ for parking but never find spots and end up parking at garage where we have to pay again.
2. There has been lots... of crime repoted arounf the campus area. UNT police must be present in all parking lots and driving around the campus all the time . See More

I am appalled that UNT had Rudy Giuliani as a participant in its leadership series. Could the university not find someone with more integrity? How about a woman as leader on leadership? Class of 1978

GREAT GRADUATE: Erin Bailey plans to pursue a career as an interior designer focusing on hotels, restaurants and casinos, and her work has already gotten attention. Bailey won a $4,000 scholarship for creating a faucet that can rotate for a custom experience and inclusive design. It accommodates a diversity of people and conserves more water by placing a specialized water restrictor inside. “I really enjoyed thinking about the faucet user's experience,” she said. Bailey’s lifelong love for design led her to study set design and theater at community college and work as a custom framer for 10 years. She then came to the UNT College of Visual Arts + Design. Now, Bailey wants to design for a hospitality firm. “There's more theatrics” in that industry, she says. “It's fun to entertain.” Congratulations, Erin!

GREAT GRADUATE: Lee Ann Harris is not only a great musician, she’s a great graduate. Lee Ann attended UNT in the 1980s and applied to graduate in May of 1988. That final semester, 1 week before school was out, she got “the call” to join the band at the world famous jazz club The Baked Potato in Hollywood. Lee Ann left Denton before finishing her final class. For 25 years, she worked full-time in LA as a jazz, session and tour musician. According to “Musician” magazine, Lee An...n was the first jazz percussionist to cover all styles and all genres of music. She has recorded and/or performed with a wide spectrum of artists including John Williams, Peter Gabriel, Vince Gill and even The Muppets. Lee Ann was the first female in The One O'Clock Lab Band’s rhythm section and spent many a night playing with Brave Combo. Recently, she moved back to Oklahoma and decided to finally get her degree. She’s taking a math class that will transfer to UNT so she can walk in May and get her diploma in August. Way to go, Lee Ann!

GREAT GRADUATE: Hard work is what makes Chris Miles stand out. Not only was Chris an important part of our Mean Green Football team, but he’s also graduating with honors with a Mechanical and Energy Engineering degree. Chris says, “The work I feel like I’ve put in here – I’m proud of it. With football, I’ve bled, I’ve sweat, I’ve cried. Academically, I feel like I’ve been pushed pretty hard. I’m proud of it; this is my college experience.” We too are proud of Chris and we’re excited that he’s coming back here this summer to get started on his MBA through Toulouse Graduate School. Congratulations, Chris!
