Shannon Field, MEd, BCBA

Intervention Coordinator

Shannon has over 8 years of experience serving children with autism in school-based, home-based, and clinical settings. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Arlington and her master's degree in Special Education with a graduate academic certificate in Autism Intervention from UNT. Shannon initially received extensive training in incidental teaching methods and inclusive programming while working at a preschool for children with autism. Shannon then taught children with autism in public schools for five years, in both inclusive and self-contained settings. She also served as an in-home and parent trainer through the school district.

Shannon has been married to her husband, David, since 2010. They have two precious preschool-aged boys at home, in addition to two rowdy Cairn terriers. Shannon is thrilled to be back at UNT, working with such an amazing team of practitioners and researchers.
