We provide the Air Force with a quick response capability in a variety of very important material areas including failure analysis of metallic, composite, and electronic components; nondestructive evaluation of both structural and nonstructural components of aircraft, missile and ground support equipment; and electrostatic discharge control testing of microelectronics and consulting support in high tech areas such as joining.
This quick-reaction support is provided in response to direct requests from accident investigation boards of Air Force operational commands; product and air logistics centers of Air Force Materiel Command; program offices developing new systems; the Foreign Aerospace Technology Center; the Federal Bureau of Investigations; the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Coast Guard.
