Description
This course teaches students to plan, integrate, and implement international acquisition programs within the Defense Acquisition System. It is designed to meet the needs of DoD acquisition workforce members in various acquisition career fields that are responsible for international acquisition program efforts. The course covers the International Acquisition Career Path (IACP) competencies using a comprehensive, integrated approach with practical exercises that address the following areas/mechanisms: cooperative programs, foreign military sales, direct commercial sales, building partnership capacity programs, technology security and foreign disclosure, and defense exportability integration. Upon completion of the course, students will possess the skills needed to effectively and efficiently plan, participate in, and manage a wide variety of international acquisition program activities that support U.S. Government and DoD political-military objectives, contribute to program affordability, and enhance coalition interoperability with allied/friendly nations

Target Attendees
Mid-level defense acquisition personnel involved in international acquisition activities, specifically those within the IACP; plus any defense employee working in this area to include members of the international affairs workforce.

  • ACQ 130, Fundamentals of Technology Security/Transfer
  • ACQ 202, Intermediate Systems Acquisition, Part A
