WSM 010 Statement of Work Workshop

Description
Enables personnel to create a tailored contractual Statement of Work applicable to the appropriate acquisition life-cycle phase for their program. The workshop provides “hands-on” experience with a Statement of Work to include writing and reviewing sections of an actual Statement of Work.
Objectives
  • Identify "basic tenets/lessons learned/best practices” of writing a Statement of Work
  • Explain how Statements of Work are used by Program Offices and Contractors
  • Be able to convey clear, concise, consistent , un-ambiguous requirements to the contractor
  • Target Attendees
    Personnel who may benefit from the workshop include DoD acquisition workforce members whose responsibilities include writing or reviewing SOWs. Attendees are encouraged to bring in SOWs currently in work or in early stages of formulation. Additionally, programs or activities currently developing SOWs are encouraged to attend as intact teams.
