Description
EXPECTED TO DEPLOY IN 2ND QUARTER FY17

This course provides fundamental knowledge, training, and skills necessary to create a uniform understanding of the Department’s strategy, approach and methodology to financial management for acquisition professionals. It delivers an immersive and engaging learning experience with a broad overview of the Department’s Planning, Programming, Budging, and Execution (PPBE) process from a financial manager/program office perspective. Participants will gain a wider understanding of how our Nations National Security Strategy drives the Department PPBE process and how the program office, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Office of Management and Budget, and Congress participates within this process.

Target Attendees
Military officers and DoD civilians working in or selected for positions requiring knowledge or use of funds management principles. Industry personnel in equivalent fields are encouraged to attend.
Prerequisite(s)
Required:
  • ACQ 101, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management

    Recommended:
  • Baccalaureate degree and 1 year of acquisition experience
