Description
This course targets new entrants to the Small Business Professional career field and will cover the small business vision, goals, culture, and values from the view of the Functional Leader, AT&L, and the SECDEF. There will also be a review of the small business cases and success stories highlighting the contributions small businesses make to the success of the Department. The course will provide key, baseline business processes, tools, legislation/policies, and procedures, included funded programs and socioeconomic programs. Finally, the course will discuss the expectations of small business professionals throughout the Department to help provide an understanding of where and how they fit into the Defense acquisition landscape.
