CON 360 Contracting for Decision Makers
 Description
Through realistic scenario-based learning, students work individually and in teams to practice developing sound business solutions as a valued strategic and expert business advisor. Students will learn to analyze complex contracting situations with emphasis on critical thinking, problem solving, research, and risk reduction. Student course work is designed to contribute real solutions on real acquisition problems to senior leadership and local supervisors.

This course is designed for contracting professionals who work, or are projected to work, in a position requiring Level III DAWIA certification.
Prerequisite(s)
Except for those assigned to IND positions, the below courses are required:

  • CON 280, Source Selection and Acquisition of Service Contracts
  • CON 290, Contract Administration and Negotiation Techniques in a Supply Environment

    Recommended:
  • At least 4 years experience in government contracting
  • Level II certified in Contracting
  • One year experience following the completion of CON 280 and CON 290 is HIGHLY encouraged
  • Predecessor Course(s) (Acceptable substitutes for meeting current course prerequisite and certification standards)
