Description
Professionals taking this course work as members of an integrated product team for an ACAT I program. In the context of integrated program management, participants review, develop, and experience the Earned Value Management (EVM)-related processes associated with requirements generation, acquisition strategy development, Request for Proposal development, source selection, risk management, Integrated Baseline Review, and analysis during program execution.

Military officers, O-3 and above; DoD civilians, GS-9 and above; and equivalent industry personnel needing knowledge of EVM principles.

  • EVM 101, Fundamentals of Earned Value Management
  • ACQ 202, Intermediate Systems Acquisition, Part A

    The following five modules are recommended for review prior to attending class if it has been more than 6 months since graduating from EVM 101 and for students who do not use EVM data in their current jobs. These modules are located on the EVM Community of Practice:

  • Fundamentals of EV module 1 – Basics
  • Fundamentals of EV module 2 – PMB
  • Fundamentals of EV module 3 – Reports
  • Fundamentals of EV module 4 – EAC
  • Fundamentals of EV module 5 – Baseline Maintenance

    There is also a voluntary self-assessment that will be provided to the student.
