Description
Advanced Contingency Contracting develops skills for people who will be running the contingency contracting support operation provided to Joint Forces across the full spectrum of military operations. Exercises focus on unique aspects of contingency operations, critical thinking skills, and the execution of appropriate contractual instruments. Attendees will gain insight into tactical and strategic Contingency Contracting Mission Support and Operational Contract Support (OCS) Doctrine.

Target Attendees
Contracting career field personnel who are deployable to a Contingency Area of Operation (CAO) as a Chief of Contracting or Senior Contracting Official as well as contracting officers who will be awarding external support contracts from a CONUS installation.

Recommended for other DoD personnel involved in Operational Contract Support (OCS) planning.
Prerequisite(s)
Required:
  • CLC 007 Contract Source Selection
  • CON 234 Joint Contingency Contracting (if assigned to a CON position)
  • Level I DAWIA Certification in Contracting (if assigned to a CON position)

  • CLC 033, Contract Structure and Format
  • CON 237 Simplified Acquisition Procedures
  • CON 244 Construction Contracting
  • Level II Certification in Contracting
